  1. -I had worked very hard for mathematics last year as I had gotten a grade B for the previous exams. So once our PSLE results were out, I was quite satisfied with a result of an A grade. But, having worked so hard, I really wanted to get an A*.

-I did, as I mentioned above get a low grade, so I engaged the help of a tuition teacher to help me. Also when I would not be able to solve a problem I would take a break and try again. This way, it left me refreshed to try again and I would be concentrate more to solving the problem.

  2. ~the joys of learning mathematics lies in solving a maths problem that I had been breaking my head off with.when I try to work out just 1 problem with many different solutions, there comes success and joy.

~The challenges in maths would probably be solving mind boggling math olympiad questions.Sometimes I think too much that I'll just go blank!!

  3. -The success and joys of learning mathematics is when I managed to solve the challenging questions set in the PSLE Mathematics paper. I was happy I got an A, but I was really aiming for an A*.

-The challenges in Mathematics would be solving those speed questions for I am not that good in that area.

  4. ~ Scoring an A* in Maths in PSLE is both a success and a joy. Although I scored an A* in Maths, I think I would still need guidance for the upcoming Secondary 1 Maths as I am not very sure about the topics that we are supposed to study on.

~ One of the challenges that I came across in Mathematics is to be unable to solve a particular Maths problem sum no matter how hard I tried. I may need some guidance (maybe a clue or a hint) to get myself started with the question that I am not sure how to do.

  5. I scoring A * FOR MATHS and full marks for test all make me feel successful and joyous, as well as learning new methods from my primary 6 and 5 maths teachers all who taught very interesting solutions for the problem.

1 out of a few challenges I face is trying to solve hard problems but after all the trying I still cannot solve it, so i had to bring it to ask the teacher the following day. The other is trying to solve some of the maths olympiad questions that i had absolutely no idea about. Some times I may forget certain concepts so I need some reminding.

  6. Being able to learn Secondary 1 Mathematics in Primary 5 is a joy and a success. It is also one of the difficulties i face as sometimes I tend to get the formulas mixed up with some of methods taught by teachers and not do well in examinations and tests.

  7. I got A* for my PSLE that I really enjoyed and i also liked the success of getting top in the class for the topical tests.

I experienced some difficulties when i was doing percentage and speed as they are not my best topics.

  8. I worked hard for my maths last year to try to maintain the A grade as my maths grade was dropping by the years and so,I managed to get an A for PLSE.

Speed is my worse topic in maths so I found it difficit to cope with during the exams

  14. I managed to get an A for my PSLE even though I thought I didn't really do well. I can also feel the satisfaction in doing Math when you are able to solve a hard question.

Like many other people, there are numerous challenges I face while doing Math like the equation for speed which I sometimes forget as speed is one of my weakest topics.

  20. I could figure out tricky questions that others could not, that let me learn that i have a subject I was good at. Sometimes when I cannot do a question, I realise it was easy and get scolded

  21. AT first my Math was not as "good" as it is currently, i was getting marks that were not very "high".But after a few years i tried my very best to do well in that subject.
Finally, i got higher marks in my mathematics, then in my PSLE i got an A*.

(I find joy in solving challenging questions.)
